IU does have a mascot. It is the HOOSIER and he parades up and down the sideline's and is the same dimensions as Purdue's boilermaker. So all these coments about IU having no mascot reinforce why so many continue to support their "CHIEF", -systemic ignorance at Illiniville. So we now know who really is the "ASPHALT". I think it is great that the West Aurora High School. home of the Blackhawks still maintains a native Indian as their mascot. The large Indian figurehead on the school's marquis is impressive.
