Illinois men’s basketball player Brian Carlwell remains in serious condition after a car accident late Monday night. While the Chicago Tribune reported Carlwell’s condition has been upgraded to stable, Sports Information at the University said they have not received any word from Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana about a change in Carlwell’s status.

Carle Foundation Hospital’s public relations office has confirmed that Carlwell is still in SERIOUS condition, NOT stable condition.
