The Associated Press has reported that Michael Jordan’s son will come to Illinois and join the basketball team as a walk-on.

This is very interesting. The addition of Jordan’s son to our program will be invaluable. Whether or not the kid sees time on the court (and he very well may see a little, given our current backcourt), the basketball program wins big.

Can you imagine Jordan’s son…and maybe even Michael himself…at the Assembly Hall? The media will eat that stuff up. Our team’s exposure will only increase. Surely Jeffrey Jordan is, up to this point, Weber’s most important recruit.

I can’t wait for the T-shirts.
